Katy Perry is striking back at GHD, the British hair care company that filed a lawsuit against her earlier this month. GHD claims it dropped the pop star from her two-year, four-point-five-million dollar endorsement contract after their research showed she had lost market appeal.
But Perry's attorneys have responded with a counterclaim saying GHD continued to use the star's name and image when it had no legal right to.
According to "The Hollywood Reporter," Katy also claims the company only dropped her when they did because they didn't want a rift to come between a proposed sale.
She's demanding the company pay up the six-point-five million she says she's owed, accusing GHD of violating her publicity rights and breaching their oral contract.
